We are located about 30 minutes from Charlotte, North Carolina, in the rural town of Weddington. My husband, John, and I live on two wooded acres in a beautiful country setting. Both John and I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and have lived in this area for more than 30 years, raising our three wonderful sons. John works for Ingersoll Rand, as Director of Global Credit and I am a Nurse, working with children in the neurological & psychiatric field of medicine.
We were introduced to the Sheltie breed after our son and his wife acquired a sable and white sheltie puppy several years ago. We quickly fell in love with the breed and bought our first sheltie shortly after. Having discovered the warmth, energy and delightful personality of the sheltie, there was no question; the Sheltie became our all time favorite breed.
In the past few years, I have devoted much of my time to this exciting hobby. Learning about this special breed, attending handling, obedience & agility classes, participating in matches & shows has become my passion. Caring for our Shelties has become my new career and I feel fortunate to be a Stay At Home “Sheltie Mom”.
